Dubai — UAE-based telecom and ICT leader du has launched its groundbreaking AI Park and National Hybrid AI Platform at GITEX Global 2025, marking a major milestone in the country’s journey toward achieving digital sovereignty and building a secure, independent artificial intelligence ecosystem.
The initiatives align with the UAE’s long-term vision of positioning itself as a global AI-first nation, combining hyperscale infrastructure, green technology, and sovereign innovation clusters to drive technological leadership and economic diversification.
du AI Park: The Nucleus of UAE’s AI Infrastructure
Located in Dubai, du’s AI Park will host a network of liquid-cooled hyperscale data centers capable of scaling up to 1 gigawatt of capacity over time. The facilities are designed to meet the UAE’s data sovereignty and cybersecurity regulations while supporting the most demanding AI workloads.
Beyond data infrastructure, the AI Park will house AI research labs, startup incubators, and a sovereign hybrid AI production cluster—providing innovators with the tools to prototype, scale, and deploy AI applications securely within national borders.
The multi-phase project, spanning five years, will initially focus on research, incubation, and computing capacity, later expanding into GPU-as-a-Service offerings and national AI integration.
“du’s AI Park gives the UAE a sovereign, safe, and future-proof platform for artificial intelligence,” said Fahad Al Hassawi, CEO of du. “We are not only delivering world-class digital infrastructure but also building the foundation for a thriving AI innovation ecosystem that strengthens the UAE’s technological leadership.”
The Park will leverage du’s local and international network assets, including subsea and terrestrial cables, to act as a regional digital hub, integrating sustainability, transparency, and governance principles into its operations.
National Hybrid AI Platform: Empowering Enterprises and Government
In tandem with the AI Park, du Tech unveiled its National Hybrid AI Platform, an extension of its National Hypercloud initiative. The platform enables organizations to develop and deploy AI applications across multiple clouds while maintaining security and compliance within du’s infrastructure.
By combining 5G and fiber networks with leading cloud partnerships and system integrators, the platform allows enterprises and government entities to build, operate, and scale AI workloads without significant upfront investment.
The platform’s hybrid architecture ensures that applications remain compliant with national AI laws while delivering cost efficiency, agility, and performance—facilitating seamless transitions from development to production.
Driving UAE’s AI-First Vision
The dual launch reinforces du’s role as a national enabler of digital transformation, supporting the UAE’s ambition to become a leader in secure, sovereign AI ecosystems. By integrating eco-friendly infrastructure, innovation hubs, and AI talent incubation, du aims to set new global standards for responsible and sustainable AI deployment.
“du’s initiatives at GITEX 2025 exemplify how the UAE is shaping its digital destiny—combining national security, innovation, and sustainability into one cohesive AI vision,” the company stated.
Together, the AI Park and National Hybrid AI Platform create a comprehensive, future-ready foundation for enterprises, government institutions, and startups to harness AI safely, responsibly, and at scale—propelling the UAE toward its goal of global digital leadership.
