ISLAMABAD – In a major milestone for Pakistan’s tech retail landscape, Airlink Communication, a Lahore-based smart devices manufacturer and distributor, has announced plans to open the country’s first official Apple retail store in Dolmen Mall Lahore by the end of 2025.
The announcement was made during a corporate briefing attended by representatives from Topline Securities, a leading brokerage and market research firm. Airlink, which manufactures, distributes, and retails smartphones, TVs, and wearables, is also planning to open a Xiaomi retail outlet alongside the Apple store as part of its expansion strategy.
In September 2024, GNEXT Technologies, Apple’s authorized distributor for Pakistan, appointed Airlink Communication as its premium retail partner, a move aimed at broadening Apple’s structured retail coverage across the country.
According to the agreement, Airlink will facilitate customer access to the full range of Apple products — including iPhones, iPads, MacBooks, Apple Watches, and accessories — through a dedicated retail and service experience aligned with Apple’s global standards.
The development comes shortly after the launch of Apple’s iPhone 17, featuring an improved display, enhanced durability, and an upgraded front camera. Despite economic challenges, Apple products continue to hold a premium status in Pakistan, both for their advanced technology and their aspirational brand value.
This landmark initiative marks Apple’s first official retail presence in Pakistan and underscores the growing demand for high-end consumer electronics in the country. It also reflects increasing collaboration between global tech brands and Pakistani firms to strengthen the nation’s digital and retail infrastructure.
