Algerie Telecom, in partnership with the National Agency for the Management of Microcredit (ANGEM), has launched a hands-on fiber optic training program at its Operational Directorate in Tlemcen. The initiative targets former trainees from multiple provinces who plan to establish micro-enterprises in optical fiber services.
The program blends classroom instruction with real-world field practice, including customer installations using Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) technology. Participants receive training on modern network setup techniques while developing the technical and entrepreneurial skills needed to run successful fiber-focused businesses.
As part of a broader national strategy, similar workshops are being held across Algeria. The initiative highlights Algeria Telecom’s commitment to nurturing youth talent, supporting microenterprise development, and strengthening the country’s fiber optic ecosystem through innovation and local capacity building.
