Matarat Holding, the state-owned company responsible for managing and developing 27 airports across Saudi Arabia, has signed a strategic memorandum of understanding with Idemia Public Security to explore collaboration on biometrics and digital services. The agreement focuses on deploying biometric and digital identity solutions to enable seamless passenger processing from curb to gate, while supporting broader airport digital transformation initiatives.
Under the MoU, both parties will work together to enhance airport efficiency, security, and the overall traveler experience through advanced identity verification and smart travel technologies. Idemia will also provide technical consultancy in biometrics and digital identity, contribute to innovation programs, and support the development of Matarat’s electronic platforms for aviation infrastructure.
The partnership aligns with Saudi Arabia’s wider aviation modernization and digital transformation goals, as airports across the Kingdom continue to adopt next-generation technologies to improve operational performance and passenger journeys.
