Orange Middle East & Africa (OMEA) and the Confederation of African Football (CAF) have signed a landmark agreement granting Orange exclusive mobile-only broadcasting rights for the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations, Morocco 2025, scheduled to take place from 21 December 2025 to 18 January 2026.
Under the agreement, active users of Orange’s Max it super app will be able to stream a curated selection of 35 live matches across 13 Sub-Saharan African countries, including Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Senegal, Mali, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and others. The broadcast package covers all group-stage matches involving national teams from Orange affiliate countries, along with selected knockout fixtures, including one semi-final, the third-place play-off, and the final.
The initiative introduces a mobile-first approach to African football coverage, aligning with evolving consumption habits and the expectations of digitally connected fans across the continent. Matches will be delivered through Max it TV, part of Orange’s super app ecosystem that combines telecommunications, financial services, entertainment, and digital content in a single platform.
Beyond live match streaming, Orange will offer pre- and post-match programming produced by specialist teams, providing in-depth analysis and editorial content. The broadcasts will be supported by a low-latency, end-to-end delivery infrastructure designed to ensure smooth, near real-time viewing experiences tailored to African network conditions.
OMEA said the partnership reinforces its strategy to position Max it as a pan-African digital content hub while promoting inclusion, innovation, and African talent. Commenting on the agreement, Yasser Shaker, CEO of Orange Middle East & Africa, said the partnership reflects Orange’s commitment to bringing communities together through football and delivering immersive digital experiences that resonate with millions of fans across Africa.
With this agreement, Orange Middle East & Africa strengthens its role in the continent’s digital transformation and the distribution of premium African content, leveraging mobile technology to create shared experiences around Africa’s most popular sport.
