Islamabad Hosts International Workshop on Strategic Marketing for Digital Transformation

ISLAMABAD – Muhammad Asad Islam Mahni, Additional Secretary of Industries and Production Division, inaugurated a four-day International Training Workshop on Strategic Marketing for Digital Transformation in Islamabad. During his opening remarks, Mahni praised the Asian Productivity Organisation (APO) for its contributions to the Asia-Pacific region and called for a renewed commitment to APO’s vision of “inclusive, innovation-led productivity growth in the Asia-Pacific.”

The workshop, organized by the APO in partnership with Pakistan’s National Productivity Organisation (NPO), brings together 18 international participants from APO member countries, including Mongolia, Nepal, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Turkey, along with 10 local participants from Pakistan. Its primary goal is to equip marketing professionals with the tools and knowledge to implement digital marketing strategies that drive business growth.

Mahni warmly welcomed the international delegates and expressed gratitude to both the APO and NPO for addressing the critical topic of digital marketing in today’s business landscape. He emphasized that collaboration between APO and NPOs is crucial for addressing the challenges of digital transformation in marketing, and that the workshop is a key initiative to enhance the region’s capacity for digital growth.

NPO CEO Muhammad Alamgir Chaudhry echoed these sentiments, expressing appreciation to the Additional Secretary, the APO Programme Officer, and international resource speakers. Chaudhry also highlighted the NPO’s key initiatives, including the National Productivity Master Plan and the Productivity Measurement System, which aim to boost productivity and link wages to productivity, improving efficiency in Pakistan’s workforce.

Renowned experts from Malaysia and Pakistan will lead participants through the latest trends, tools, and best practices in strategic digital marketing, covering topics such as digital marketing strategies, data-driven decision-making, and customer-centric approaches.

APO Programme Officer Dong Jin Lee underscored the significance of the event, noting that it provides a valuable platform for knowledge sharing and networking among marketing professionals across the region. He reiterated APO’s commitment to supporting productivity growth and competitiveness in member countries through initiatives like this.

Participants expressed enthusiasm for the workshop, eager to gain practical insights to apply within their organizations.
