The Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO) and Arab News have signed a Letter of Engagement aimed at strengthening collaboration on addressing digital misinformation and examining the impact of artificial intelligence on the media sector.
The agreement focuses on knowledge exchange, expert collaboration and the development of best practices to help media organisations navigate the rapid transformation driven by AI technologies. The initiative aligns with DCO’s broader efforts to promote responsible digital transformation and support a reliable and inclusive digital media ecosystem.
Officials from both organisations highlighted the growing importance of cooperation between technology and media institutions as AI reshapes how information is created, distributed and trusted. The partnership aims to enhance media capabilities in understanding emerging technologies, regulatory developments and ethical considerations linked to AI-driven content environments.
The agreement was signed during the Fifth DCO General Assembly in Kuwait City, held alongside the International Digital Cooperation Forum, which brought together policymakers, industry leaders and stakeholders from more than 60 countries to discuss inclusive and human-centric digital economy development.
