Saudi Arabia’s Savvy Games Group has agreed to acquire Moonton, the mobile gaming studio owned by ByteDance, in a deal valued at approximately $6 billion. The move marks a significant step in Savvy’s strategy to expand its global gaming footprint, particularly in the fast-growing mobile gaming segment.
Moonton, known for hit titles like Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, specializes in multiplayer mobile games and has built a strong global player base. The acquisition strengthens Savvy’s position in one of the most lucrative areas of the gaming industry.
According to sources, the transaction is expected to be finalized soon. Moonton will continue operating under its existing management, with additional employee incentive programs introduced to support growth and retention.
