DIEZ and Volt UAE to build AI-ready data centre in Dubai Silicon Oasis

Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority (DIEZ) has partnered with Volt UAE to establish a joint venture for building an AI-ready data centre in Dubai Silicon Oasis, strengthening the emirate’s digital infrastructure capabilities.

The facility will be designed to support high-performance computing workloads, including artificial intelligence, cloud services, and data-intensive applications. AI-ready data centres are engineered to handle advanced processing requirements, making them critical for enterprises adopting machine learning, analytics, and automation technologies.

The project aligns with Dubai’s strategy to position itself as a global hub for digital innovation, attracting technology companies and supporting next-generation infrastructure. Dubai Silicon Oasis, as a technology-focused free zone, continues to play a central role in hosting advanced infrastructure projects.

Rising demand for AI and cloud services across the Middle East is driving investment in hyperscale and high-capacity data centres. Enterprises and governments are increasingly seeking localised infrastructure to ensure data sovereignty, low latency, and regulatory compliance.

The joint venture reflects a broader trend of public-private collaboration to accelerate infrastructure development and meet growing digital demand.

Editor’s Note:
AI-ready data centres are becoming foundational to the region’s digital economy. Dubai’s continued investment highlights its ambition to lead in high-performance infrastructure supporting AI and cloud growth.
