Roshan Upgrades Internet Service in Balkh Province from 3G to 4G

Telecommunications company Roshan has successfully upgraded its internet service in Balkh province from 3G to 4G. During an event, company officials announced plans to expand this upgrade to most parts of Afghanistan within the coming year.

Mohammad Asif Sharifi, the provincial head of Roshan’s telecommunications network, stated, “Over the past three years, Roshan Telecommunications Company has implemented numerous development services. A few months ago, we officially activated 4G services in Balkh, and we hope that by next year, all districts and villages will benefit from high-speed 4G internet.”

Residents of Balkh have expressed their satisfaction with the upgrade but also emphasized the need for lower internet prices alongside improved quality. Nasratullah Azimi, a Mazar-e-Sharif resident, remarked, “We are very happy that Roshan’s internet in our city has become 4G, but we request that they further increase the internet speed and consider reducing the cost of packages.”

Another local resident, Jamshid Jahanfar, added, “The expectation of all the people of Afghanistan is that telecommunications companies should improve their services honestly, enhance internet quality, and reduce prices.”

Founded in 2003, Roshan is one of Afghanistan’s leading telecommunications providers, currently covering most areas of the country.
