The UAE’s national domain, .ae, has reached 347,000 registrations, reflecting the growing demand and trust in the domain by companies, individuals, and businesses. Managed by the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA), the domain continues to evolve, with a focus on enhancing security and providing cutting-edge technologies.
The .ae domain plays a crucial role in strengthening the UAE’s digital infrastructure, promoting its digital identity, and supporting the digital economy. It is seen as a symbol of trust and credibility, helping businesses and individuals validate their online presence, boost digital visibility, and reach both local and international customers.
To further improve the user experience, TDRA has introduced several innovative features, including the “Name Ideas” service, which uses generative artificial intelligence to suggest domain names based on a brief description of a business activity. This AI-powered tool, a first for the region, has garnered over 10,000 visits since its launch in 2023, offering a valuable resource for aspiring registrants.
Additionally, the .ae domain has attracted prominent companies, increasing the total number of accredited registrars to 26.
Mohammed Ibrahim Al Zarooni, Deputy Director General of the Information and Digital Government Sector, commented on the success of the .ae domain, stating, “The continuous efforts and improvements by TDRA have made the .ae domain an ideal choice for companies and individuals aiming to enhance their digital presence and achieve success in a competitive market.”
He further emphasized, “The .ae domain is more than just an internet address; it is a testament to the UAE’s dedication to strengthening its digital economy and providing new opportunities for businesses and individuals alike.”
