Ericsson and e& UAE have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on exploring 6G technology, its use cases, and the evolution of future mobile networks. The MoU sets the stage for a series of technical discussions and joint explorations to investigate key 6G technology concepts. e& UAE, a leader in technological innovation since 1976, sees this collaboration as a crucial step toward shaping the digital future and pushing the boundaries of connectivity.
Khalid Murshed, Chief Technology and Information Officer at e& UAE, expressed excitement about the partnership, highlighting the importance of driving digital transformation and advancing technology through collaboration with Ericsson.
Ekow Nelson, Vice President and Head of Global Customer Unit for e& at Ericsson Middle East and Africa, noted that while 5G is set to become the dominant mobile technology post-2027, proactive research into 6G is already underway. The partnership will leverage the expertise of both organizations to shape the next generation of mobile networks for the UAE and beyond.
