RIYADH: The Digital Government Authority (DGA) has introduced the Platform Code, a groundbreaking national framework designed to standardize and enhance the interfaces of government platforms across Saudi Arabia.
Announced at an event in Riyadh, the Platform Code seeks to create a seamless, unified digital user experience, aligning with the Kingdom’s strategic digital goals. The event was attended by dignitaries, leaders in digital transformation from the public and private sectors, and other key stakeholders.
Ahmed Al-Suwaiyan, governor of the DGA, highlighted that the Platform Code adheres to both local and international digital standards. He described it as a transformative step toward achieving comprehensive digital transformation, boosting compliance, and delivering efficient and impactful digital services.
The Platform Code operates as an open-source design system, integrating coding frameworks, design tools, and community guidelines. This system enables rapid development of consistent user experiences while offering designers and developers pre-built assets to address specific needs.
In addition to launching the Platform Code, the authority introduced the Saudi Digital Strategy, which focuses on accelerating the digital economy and creating opportunities for innovation in public and private sector products.
Other initiatives unveiled include the Digital Transformation Ambassador Program, aimed at fostering a collaborative digital community, and the Scene Program, which promotes advanced frameworks and tools to elevate user experiences both locally and globally.
By leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence and emerging tech, the DGA is committed to establishing Saudi Arabia as a global leader in innovative digital services. These initiatives also include consultancy programs and strategies to enhance leadership in digital transformation.
Through these efforts, the Digital Government Authority is contributing to Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 by improving service quality and driving economic growth.
