SLT-Mobitel reaffirmed its role as the principal sponsor of the annual Techno exhibition, organized by the Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka (IESL). The Techno 2024 exhibition, held from October 11 to 13 at the Sirimavo Bandaranaike Memorial Exhibition Centre of BMICH, marked its 36th edition and served as a key platform to showcase technological advancements and promote innovation across Sri Lanka.
Themed “Engineering: The Path to Prosperity,” Techno 2024 was officially inaugurated by University of Moratuwa Senior Professor in Civil Engineering and former Vice Chancellor, Professor Malik Ranasinghe, along with Ceylon Electricity Board Chairman Thilak Siyambalapitiya. SLT-Mobitel was represented by its Group CEO Janaka Abeysinghe, COO Prabath Ambegoda, Chief Marketing Officer Prabhath Dahanayake, and Mobitel COO Sudharshana Geeganage, who joined other industry leaders at the event.
As the event’s key sponsor, SLT-Mobitel showcased a wide variety of products and services, including SLT-Mobitel’s enterprise and SME solutions, digital products, E-teleshop, SLT-Mobitel Embryo, and Mobitel’s 5G demonstration. The company’s participation highlighted its ongoing commitment to driving technological progress and innovation in Sri Lanka.
SLT COO Prabath Ambegoda also attended as the chief guest on the third day of the event, further emphasizing SLT-Mobitel’s dedication to supporting the engineering and technology community. The exhibition provided a valuable opportunity for SLT-Mobitel to engage with industry professionals, display its latest technologies, and explore potential business ventures.
In addition to the exhibition, SLT-Mobitel announced the opening of registration for the IESL Robogames 2024, powered by SLT-Mobitel, during the event. The Robogames, organized by the Computer Science and Engineering Department of the University of Moratuwa in collaboration with IESL, aim to promote robotics innovation and skill development among school and university students.
