Orange Egypt Showcases Cutting-Edge Innovations at Cairo ICT 2024, Highlighting Digital Transformation and Youth Empowerment

Orange Egypt concluded its participation as an official sponsor at the 28th edition of the Cairo ICT exhibition, held from November 17 to 20, 2024. The event, under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, and Minister of Communications Dr. Amr Talaat, showcased the company’s pivotal role in Egypt’s digital transformation.

At the event, visitors had the opportunity to explore Orange Egypt’s $135 million “New Administrative Capital Data Centre” project, a key initiative to advance Egypt’s economic and digital transformation. The New Administrative Capital, which is designed as an integrated and sustainable urban city, leverages cutting-edge technologies and secure infrastructure to serve as a hub for local and international investments in business, government, housing, culture, and entertainment.

The company also showcased its upcoming 5G network capabilities, offering live demonstrations of the transformative power of 5G technology in connectivity and innovation. Visitors experienced the advantages of Orange’s 5G network, particularly its high-speed internet and enhanced user experiences.

In addition to 5G, Orange Egypt introduced a global platform that integrates smart city management and AI technologies. This platform is designed to optimize business performance through AI-driven security solutions, improving customer, employee, and operational interactions while tackling sustainability challenges. The platform allows businesses to leverage data more effectively and achieve strategic objectives.

A major highlight was the unveiling of the Smart Cities-as-a-Service (SCS) model, which focuses on creating smart city solutions powered by AI and supported by robust digital infrastructure. The model included simulations showcasing AI’s capabilities in real-time and predictive data analysis, revolutionizing city management through automation in areas such as smart lighting, energy optimization, public safety, and waste management.

Orange Egypt’s pavilion also featured an interactive virtual football game powered by 5G technology and virtual reality, allowing visitors to experience the ultra-fast internet speeds of 5G firsthand.

Orange Egypt continued to emphasize its commitment to social impact through its corporate social responsibility initiatives. The company spotlighted the transformative role of the Orange Digital Center (ODC), which has equipped thousands of entrepreneurs with essential skills and helped launch numerous startups across Egypt. Additionally, the company showcased its “Fab Lab” creative hubs, designed to inspire innovation and empower individuals of all backgrounds to turn their ideas into tangible products using state-of-the-art technologies.

The establishment of the ODC and Fab Labs highlights Orange’s strategic focus on fostering economic and social development through innovation, in line with Egypt’s government-driven digital transformation initiatives. These initiatives aim to create promising opportunities for young talent to innovate and contribute to the country’s future.
