Iraq will launch ITEX IRAQ 2025 on September 26 in Baghdad, hosting 250+ companies from 35 countries and 100,000 visitors. With 12 conferences and a digital government pavilion, the exhibition showcases Iraq’s digital progress and positions the country as a regional hub for digital transformation.
MWC25 Doha, the first MWC in the MENA region, will take place on November 25–26, bringing over 200 speakers, 150 exhibitors, and delegates from 60+ countries. With themes spanning AI, 5G, fintech, and smart cities, the event supports Qatar’s Digital Agenda 2030 and Vision 2030 goals.

Saudi fintech Sindbad Tech raised $4.8 million in seed funding led by Alkhabeer Capital. Saudi fintech Bwatech has raised $16 million led by Sharaka Financial to expand its integrated platform for bank guarantees, account management, and open banking. Operating in SAMA’s sandbox, Bwatech is building efficient corporate financial infrastructure to support Saudi Arabia’s fast-evolving digital economy.
Moroccan startup Done.ma has raised $2.1M in seed funding to expand its homegrown super app. Operating in eight regions with 1,000+ partners, the platform aims to scale logistics, add BNPL and marketplace services, and align with Morocco’s 2030 digital strategy as MENA’s super app market booms.
