Prepaid mobile users in Qatar are calling on authorities to address concerns over high rates and short validity durations of telecom packages. Following a report by The Peninsula, many users voiced their dissatisfaction on social media, urging for more affordable and customer-friendly mobile service options in the country.
The Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) has mandated mobile operators to offer unlimited internet packages with data rollover and has restricted offerings between 12 AM and 6 AM. The move aims to enhance consumer satisfaction, support digital inclusion, and provide greater flexibility and affordability in internet services.
The Bangladesh Mobile Consumers Association (BMCA) proposed 17 reforms to the BTRC, advocating for better consumer rights, service quality, and regulatory independence. Their suggestions include making internet access a human right and improving the transparency of tariff setting and infrastructure standards.
