Egypt’s MCIT and Orange Egypt have partnered to expand distance diagnosis services in remote and underserved areas through mobile digital medical units, improving access to healthcare, supporting health equity, and advancing the country’s digital transformation and sustainable development goals.
Egypt’s new Digital Health Strategy 2025–2029 outlines a national plan to digitize healthcare through unified data systems, secure digital platforms, online patient services and broader use of AI. Announced during PHDC’25, the roadmap supports Digital Egypt 2030 but must address rural connectivity gaps, workforce training and cybersecurity. It aims to improve efficiency, expand access, and strengthen national health resilience.
