India has launched its first indigenous 4G stack—the Bharat Telecom Stack—developed by BSNL, TCS, C-DOT, and Tejas Networks. Covering 97,500 towers across 26,700 villages, the project connects 22 million people, supports 5G upgrades, and cements India’s place among the world’s telecom technology leaders.
Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel, and Vodafone Idea have published their 5G, 4G, and 2G network coverage maps as required by Trai’s new regulations, aimed at enhancing transparency for consumers. However, BSNL and MTNL have yet to release their coverage maps, which were due by April 1.
