Jordan’s Sanad app now records 1.3 million monthly users and up to 5 million digital transactions monthly. With 1.8 million digital IDs already active, the government is pushing toward 80% digitisation by 2025 and full digitisation by 2026, targeting 3.5 million active digital IDs.
Jordan has launched its National Digital Transformation Strategy 2026–2028, aiming to strengthen infrastructure, build a competitive digital economy, and expand inclusive digital access. Built on five pillars and aligned with national modernization goals, the strategy promotes AI adoption, data governance, and citizen-centered digital services.
The Global Social Media Forum in Amman explored the future of digital media, focusing on the challenges of misinformation, the role of AI in communication, and the need for ethical standards.
