Oman has launched the National Program for AI and Advanced Digital Technologies, aiming to enhance the digital economy and align with Vision 2040. Key initiatives include an AI research center, a national data platform, and a Fourth Industrial Revolution center, with the goal of increasing AI’s contribution to GDP.
The third round of Oman’s National Digital Economy Programme was launched in Buraimi, aiming to enhance digital infrastructure under Oman Vision 2040. This initiative involves key sectors like AI, cybersecurity, and e-commerce, promoting comprehensive digital transformation across all governorates.
Omantel has been named the official technical partner for the Oman Science Festival 2024, focusing on promoting STEM education among youth. In collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Omantel will provide advanced programmes featuring AI, robotics, and VR to enhance students’ scientific and innovative abilities.
