Sri Lanka Allocates $10 Million for Digital Transformation and Blockchain-based ID Project
Sri Lanka has allocated $10 million to support digital transformation, with a focus on emerging technologies such as blockchain and AI. A significant portion of the funding will go toward the Sri Lanka Unique Identity Project (SL-UDI) for a blockchain-based digital ID system. The country also aims to boost its digital economy by training 200,000 individuals.
