Riyadh: Zain Saudi Arabia has reported record-breaking results in data usage, internet speed, and international roaming over its network during the Hajj season of 1445 AH, underscoring the company’s leadership in delivering an exceptional digital experience through over 1,100 fifth-generation (5G) towers.
The company saw an 86% increase in 5G network users and a 45% growth in 5G data traffic during the Hajj season. Additionally, Zain Saudi Arabia announced a 325% growth in data transmission capacity, leading to a 79% rise in data traffic and a 72% increase in international roaming data. These impressive results are attributed to the significant demand for international roaming and high-speed data during the Hajj season.
Zain Saudi Arabia is dedicated to providing a rich and distinctive communication experience for visitors, enhancing the success of the Hajj season and the pilgrims’ spiritual journey. This aligns with the strategic goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, particularly the Pilgrim Experience Program, which aims to offer high-quality facilities and advanced infrastructure to help pilgrims access the latest digital services.

With the largest 5G network in the Middle East, Europe, and Africa, and the third largest globally, the company also launched the world’s first carbon-free 5G network, demonstrating its commitment to sustainable development and environmental empowerment.
Recently, the company announced a capital injection of SAR1.6 billion to further expand its infrastructure, 5G network, and digital services system.
