Battersea Power Station has secured its first tenant for the 50 Electric Boulevard office building, designed by Foster + Partners. SharkNinja, a $10 billion home technology leader, will occupy 32,000 sq ft to house its new EMEA headquarters.
Known for its Shark vacuum cleaners and Ninja kitchen appliances, SharkNinja will move employees into the new headquarters starting this autumn. The office space is designed to accommodate up to 320 employees over two floors, offering modern amenities including a private terrace and an expansive café lounge and collaboration area. The workspace maximizes light and includes state-of-the-art testing facilities such as a beauty salon and demonstration kitchen.
The WELL Platinum-rated and BREEAM Outstanding 50 Electric Boulevard adds to SharkNinja’s existing presence at Battersea Power Station. In 2022, the company secured 25,000 sq ft inside the Grade II listed landmark for product Research & Development and additional space in one of the railway arches on Arches Lane.
Dan Westley, Leasing Director at Battersea Power Station Development Company, expressed excitement about SharkNinja expanding within the estate, highlighting the appeal of the vibrant, mixed-use community. Tom Brown, President of SharkNinja EMEA, emphasized the move as a commitment to innovation and providing a dynamic workspace for employees, reflecting SharkNinja’s growth and future vision.
Recently completed, the 200,000 sq ft 50 Electric Boulevard features state-of-the-art amenities, including the 240-person ‘Light Box’ presentation area, nearly 800 plants, giant skylights, and an 1,800 sq ft communal roof garden with views of the Power Station, River Thames, and London skyline. The building’s typical floor plates are 16,000 sq ft, each with outdoor terraces, floor-to-ceiling glazing, and world-class digital infrastructure.
Battersea Power Station’s new addition is a testament to the growing demand for tech-led sustainable office spaces in London, supporting a vibrant community centered around the iconic landmark.
