Qatar Development Bank (QDB), in collaboration with the National Cyber Security Agency, has launched the “Cyber Security Manual for SMEs” to enhance cybersecurity awareness and provide practical guidelines for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Qatar. The manual covers essential topics such as common cyber risks, basic security controls, employee security awareness, and security requirements.

Hala Ali Al Misnad, Senior Manager of Advisory and Business Localization at QDB, emphasized the importance of digital transformation for Qatari SMEs in line with Qatar National Vision 2030. She noted that the guide, developed in partnership with the National Cyber Security Agency, aims to build cybersecurity capabilities within the national entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Eng. Abdulrahman Mohammed Al Shafi, Director of National Cyber Strategies and Policies at the National Cyber Security Agency, praised the partnership, highlighting its role in helping SMEs understand and mitigate cyber risks, and build effective cybersecurity systems.

The Cyber Security Manual addresses the specific needs of SMEs, providing practical guidance on creating a cyber incident response plan, the importance of continuous employee training, and the safe use of cloud technologies. This initiative is part of QDB’s ongoing efforts to support Qatar’s private sector and drive economic diversification.
