Oman Government Enhances Travel Management with Sabre Partnership

The Oman government has embarked on a strategic partnership with Sabre, a leading global travel technology provider, to upgrade its travel management systems. This collaboration involves a series of training workshops aimed at driving digital transformation within key government departments.

For over 15 years, Sabre has been a crucial technology partner for Oman, and this renewed cooperation underscores its ongoing commitment. The training, hosted at Sabre’s regional headquarters in Bahrain, involves teams from the Diwan of Royal Court, Royal Court Affairs, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Participants are being trained on advanced tools like Sabre 360 Graphical View and New Distribution Capability (NDC), which are designed to enhance operational efficiency and automate existing manual processes.

“We are honored to continue our partnership with the Omani government, reinforcing our role in enhancing governmental operations through advanced technology and training,” stated Ramzi Al Qassab, Managing Director at Sabre Travel Network Middle East.

The initiative is part of a broader effort by Oman to lead the region in digital transformation and set new standards in governmental travel management efficiency. Officials from the Royal Court Affairs and the Diwan of Royal Court highlighted the workshops’ role in streamlining operations and leveraging new technologies to improve service delivery.

“These workshops provide essential skills and insights, allowing us to integrate the latest technologies and best practices effectively,” noted Salam Al Hadhrami, Director of the Travel Services Department at Royal Court Affairs.

The training is also crucial for achieving Oman’s strategic objectives of a digitally advanced government, emphasizing efficiency and innovation in public service. “This initiative is key to transforming our travel operations and aligning with Oman’s digital transformation goals,” added Aisha Al Balushi, Head of the Ticketing Department at the Diwan of Royal Court.

Nawaf Al Sadri, Reservation and Tickets Officer Manager at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, further underscored the significance of the Sabre partnership in enhancing government operations across Oman.
