Oman Signs Agreement with UTAS to Enhance Digital Transformation Initiatives

Muscat – The Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology (MTCIT) has entered into a cooperation agreement with the University of Technology and Applied Sciences (UTAS) to advance the government’s digital transformation efforts in Oman.

This initiative aims to equip future leaders with the essential skills for innovation and creativity within the digital landscape. Under the Government Digital Transformation Programme (Tahawul), the MTCIT and UTAS will jointly launch a Master of Science program in Digital Transformation and Innovation.

The program is designed to strengthen collaboration between government entities and academia, enhancing the skill sets of human resources crucial for navigating digital advancements.

The agreement was signed by H.E. Dr. Ali bin Amer al Shidhani, Undersecretary for Communications and Information Technology at MTCIT, and Dr. Saeed bin Hamad al Rubaie, President of UTAS.
