TDRA Hosts Workshop to Enhance Customer Experience in UAE Telecommunications Sector

The Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) of the United Arab Emirates has partnered with OpenSignal, Advatek, UAE telecom service providers, and Deloitte to organize a workshop titled “Improving the Quality of Experience through Digital Transformation in the Telecommunications Sector.”

This workshop aimed to underscore the significance of customer Quality of Experience (QoE) amidst ongoing digital transformations, bringing together industry leaders and experts to discuss strategies and modern technologies to enhance service quality.

Key themes of the workshop included an introduction by OpenSignal on how to leverage QoE data for better decision-making, while e& (Etisalat) showcased methods of utilizing data analysis to boost customer satisfaction. Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company PJSC (“du”) presented a customer experience study focused on enhancing user experience through network performance analysis. Advatek demonstrated how data intelligence and advanced technological solutions can transform QoE to improve customer experiences. Deloitte participated in discussions on enhancing customer experience through network monitoring and performance efficiency innovations that enhance telecommunications infrastructure.

This workshop is part of the UAE’s continuous efforts to promote innovation in the telecommunications sector and improve service quality for customers, providing a platform for stakeholders to connect and share ideas.

Eng. Saif Bin Ghelaita, Director of the Technology Development Affairs Department at TDRA, stated, “This workshop is part of our ongoing commitment to enhance user experience in the UAE and support digital transformation in telecom. We recognize the importance of advanced data and analytics in improving customer service levels and continuously strive to collaborate with our partners, including UAE telecom providers, to achieve our vision of providing an advanced infrastructure and high-quality communication services. Today’s discussions and studies are crucial steps towards fostering innovation and ensuring a better user experience, aligned with the UAE’s digital leadership aspirations.”

Dr. Jamal Al Khallab, Founder and CEO of Advatek, praised TDRA’s initiatives in enhancing digital infrastructure, saying, “At Advatek, we are dedicated to developing innovative technology solutions that improve customer and business experiences. At the conclusion of the workshop, TDRA invited all interested parties to engage in discussions aimed at improving the Quality of Customer Experience (QoCE) and promoting digital transformation in the telecommunications sector.
