Konecta Egypt is being established to serve the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and the Americas from its new base in Egypt. The Egyptian Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) and Konecta, a telecom consultancy firm, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) worth $100 million to set up the Konecta Group’s regional headquarters in New Cairo.
The company plans to invest approximately $100 million over three years and hire nearly 3,000 specialists to provide advanced digital and technical services. These services will include artificial intelligence solutions, digital transformation, cybersecurity, big data and analytics, IoT, technical support, and multilingual customer service in English, French, German, Italian, and Spanish, targeting markets in the Middle East, Africa, and Europe.
Konecta will also open the Global Centre of Excellence for Gen-AI in Egypt, supporting its global delivery operations and benefiting from the expertise and skills developed across the group.
Amr Talaat, Egypt’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology, emphasized that the country’s focus on investment continues to boost its competitiveness in the ICT sector. He stated, “The growth of the offshoring industry and the rising interest from global companies in establishing service centers in Egypt reflect the country’s growing strength in this thriving sector. Egypt offers high-quality digital services in multiple languages, supported by a skilled workforce.”
