Pakistan and Turkiye Strengthen Ties: Religious Harmony and Job Opportunities Discussed

Islamabad – Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, met with the Ambassador of Turkiye, Irfan Nazir Oglu, on Wednesday to discuss key initiatives aimed at fostering religious harmony, promoting mutual respect, and enhancing job opportunities for Pakistani workers in Turkiye.

During the meeting, Minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain highlighted the deep, enduring ties between Pakistan and Turkiye, emphasizing the shared values of religion, history, and culture. He described the two nations as “one soul in two bodies” bound by these common bonds.

Ambassador Irfan Nazir Oglu expressed his condolences over the recent tragic deaths of Pakistanis in the Morocco boat incident, offering his sympathies to the families affected. He reaffirmed Turkiye’s commitment to providing more job opportunities for skilled Pakistani workers and stated that his country was actively working to increase machinery supplies to Pakistani industries. Ambassador Oglu also mentioned that several Turkish companies were successfully operating in Pakistan and emphasized the importance of expanding technical training and educational projects to further strengthen bilateral ties.
