Airtel Africa Partners with Fally Ipupa, Diamond Platnumz, and Simi to Promote Smarter Data Usage

Airtel Africa has teamed up with three renowned African artists—Fally Ipupa from the Democratic Republic of Congo, Diamond Platnumz from Tanzania, and Simi from Nigeria—to engage customers in enhancing their digital experience by optimizing data bundle usage. The collaboration includes a special song designed to educate customers on maximizing their data for everyday tasks such as browsing, streaming, and accessing essential apps.

The partnership is part of Airtel Africa’s ongoing #SmartaWithData campaign, aimed at educating customers on smarter data usage and management. The campaign encourages users to GET smarter data settings, SET smarter data speeds, and GO #SmartaWithData for a more rewarding online experience.

Currently active in seven African countries—Kenya, Nigeria, Uganda, Tanzania, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Zambia, and Malawi—the campaign targets young customers aged 18-35 years. Rohit Marwha, Chief Marketing and Sales Officer at Airtel Africa, emphasized that the collaboration with popular artists ensures that customers receive clear and engaging messages about how to make the most of their data bundles.

The campaign offers practical tips and encourages customers to share their own data hacks. Customers can easily access data bundles via USSD, the Airtel Lite app, or the MyAirtel App.
