Vodafone Egypt has launched a new digital platform aimed at supporting Egypt’s digital transformation and strengthening its relationship with the media industry. The platform, unveiled at a press conference in Cairo, offers journalists a seamless digital space for real-time information, interviews, and inquiries, enhancing communication with Vodafone.
The launch event was attended by key media figures, including Ahmed Badawy, chairman of the communication committee at the House of Representatives, Hossam Saleh, CEO of United Media Services, and Mohamed El-Baz, chairman of Al-Dostor newspaper. Vodafone Egypt’s vice president Ayman Essam emphasized the platform’s role in Vodafone’s broader digital transformation strategy, which spans across sectors like health, education, financial inclusion, and SMEs.
The platform aims to provide a sophisticated communication channel for media representatives, improving efficiency and rapid interaction. It will not replace traditional communication methods but will enhance them, offering journalists better access to press releases and real-time information.
A discussion session, “How Digital Transformation Impacts the Media Landscape in Egypt,” also took place, exploring the effects of digital advancements on traditional media practices and journalists’ challenges. Key discussions included technology’s influence on digital content and how media institutions leverage social media to reach wider audiences.
