Morocco Launches Digital Child Health Record Project to Enhance Preventive Healthcare

The National Observatory for Children’s Rights (ONDE) has launched a digital child health record project aimed at enhancing preventive healthcare for children, with a focus on neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism and learning disabilities. The initiative, directed by ONDE President Princess Lalla Meryem, is in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Social Protection and various pediatric scientific societies.

This digital initiative will provide families and healthcare professionals with immediate access to essential medical information, including vaccination records and health consultations. The project is part of Morocco’s broader “Digital Morocco 2030” strategy, which aims to transform the country into a digital hub and accelerate its social and economic development.

The initiative will improve healthcare efficiency by offering automatic reminders for vaccine appointments and medical exams, ensuring continuous monitoring of children’s health. It also aims to address the ongoing measles outbreaks by ensuring that children are up-to-date on vaccinations. The project aligns with national priorities to digitize public services and stimulate the digital economy, contributing to Morocco’s vision for a digitally inclusive society.
