In a significant step towards enhancing digital transformation in Jordan’s media sector, the Jordan Press Foundation / Al Rai and Orange Jordan have signed a strategic partnership agreement aimed at developing the sector’s digital infrastructure and advancing the use of technology in journalism.
The agreement, signed on February 18 by Orange Jordan CEO Philippe Mansour and Al Rai General Manager Hiyam Karaki, was witnessed by Chairman of the Jordan Press Foundation Sameeh Maaytah, Editor-in-Chief Khaled Shaqran, and Chief Corporate Communication and Sustainability Officer at Orange Jordan Rana Dababneh.
Maaytah emphasized Al Rai’s critical role in shaping political, economic, and social landscapes, affirming the newspaper’s commitment to enhancing its digital presence and meeting audience expectations through high-quality digital media content. Karaki stressed the importance of maintaining the authenticity and credibility of Al Rai while embracing technological advancements such as AI and analytics to stay ahead in the rapidly evolving digital media landscape.
Philippe Mansour remarked that the partnership strengthens both organizations’ positions in the digital media space, promising to bring Orange Jordan’s innovative solutions and Al Rai’s rich legacy together. The partnership is expected to open new collaboration avenues, advancing digital progress in Jordan’s media sector.
Following the agreement, the participants underscored the importance of cooperation between media and technology companies in driving digital transformation in the country.
