Turkcell Partners with Ericsson to Integrate Generative AI in Network Operations

At the Mobile World Congress 2025, Turkcell announced its second AI-related partnership, this time with Ericsson, to develop and deploy generative AI (GenAI) solutions across its network and operations. The collaboration aims to optimize network efficiency, enhance automation, and unlock new capabilities for 5G, 6G, and future connectivity technologies.

The two companies will focus on utilizing open and flexible AI models to navigate the complexities of multi-vendor and multi-technology networks. Their efforts will also explore ways to enhance network resilience, improve sustainability, and elevate user experiences through AI-driven innovations.

Additionally, Turkcell and Ericsson will investigate new AI use cases in network operations, such as predictive analytics, intelligent fault detection, and automated network healing, with the goal of transforming the management of telecom networks.

This partnership follows Turkcell’s earlier deal with Nokia, which aims to implement an AI-powered fixed network analytics solution to improve fixed broadband performance and customer experience.

Turkcell’s CTO, Vehbi Çağrı Güngör, emphasized that integrating generative AI into operations will result in superior network performance, increased automation, and better experiences for customers. Kevin Murphy, Ericsson’s VP and Head of North Middle East and Africa, added that the collaboration would accelerate the adoption of generative AI, transforming network management and paving the way for advanced 5G, 6G, and beyond.
