Teletalk Bangladesh Limited, the country’s only state-owned mobile operator, has announced a 10% reduction in its data package prices, aiming to offer affordable high-speed mobile internet to its customers. The price cut will come into effect from the day of Eid-ul-Fitr.
This decision follows a recent reduction in bandwidth rental prices by Bangladesh Submarine Cable Company Limited (BSCCL), which lowered its rates by 10%. To pass on this benefit to consumers, Teletalk has decided to reduce the prices of most of its existing data packages by 10%.
The price reduction will be applicable from Eid-ul-Fitr and will remain in effect until further notice, as stated in a press release from the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications, and Information Technology, signed by Muhammad Jasim Uddin, the ministry’s Public Relations Officer.
