Gear9 and LMPS Group Forge Strategic Cybersecurity Partnership at GITEX Africa 2025

Morocco’s digital cybersecurity infrastructure received a significant boost this week as Gear9 and LMPS Group announced a partnership on the final day of GITEX Africa 2025 in Marrakech. The collaboration is hailed by technology experts as a game-changer for the country’s digital ecosystem.

The partnership, signed at the bustling LMPS stand in Marrakech, aims to integrate cybersecurity directly into digital transformation projects. Gear9’s CEO, in an exclusive interview with Morocco World News, emphasized the growing importance of cybersecurity in today’s digitalization era. “As organizations accelerate their digitalization, cyber risks and data sovereignty concerns have never been more relevant,” he noted.

Both companies recognize that security can no longer be an afterthought. Gear9 CEO Mounir Bouchiha stressed that it must be built into the foundation of every digital project. This partnership brings together Gear9’s expertise in digital transformation, including product design, customer experience, and platform development, with LMPS Group’s strong track record in cybersecurity as an ISO 27001-certified company and member of the international FIRST network.

LMPS Group’s head explained that the collaboration addresses a key gap in the market, where many companies invest heavily in digital transformation but often treat security separately. This can lead to vulnerabilities that could have been avoided with integrated security measures from the outset.

The partnership will create an integrated model, combining Gear9’s capabilities in data platforms, CRM, AI, API management, e-commerce, and mobile interfaces with LMPS Group’s DevSecOps approach, systems protection, and governance. Given the rising number of cyberattacks, particularly in Morocco’s banking sector, this collaboration couldn’t come at a better time. The banking sector has seen a 35% increase in cyberattacks over the past year.

“We’re already in discussions with three major banks looking to modernize their customer-facing platforms while ensuring robust security,” Bouchiha revealed. “They recognize that customer trust relies on both excellent digital experiences and solid data protection.”

The partnership is also set to serve government agencies and healthcare providers, where data protection is crucial for digital innovation. The companies plan to launch their first joint projects next month, with several proof-of-concept initiatives already in progress.

As GITEX Africa 2025 came to a close, the Gear9-LMPS partnership stood out as a highlight of the event, marking Morocco’s pivotal role in shaping the digital revolution with a focus on security and innovation.
