Vodafone Business and Maroc Telecom have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to deliver connectivity services and digital solutions to Moroccan businesses, focusing on smart city and energy management solutions. The partnership aligns with Morocco’s goal to become a major digital hub by 2030.
The collaboration will expand over time to include software-defined wide area networks (SD-WAN), private mobile networks, cloud solutions, and cybersecurity, combining Vodafone’s international infrastructure with Maroc Telecom’s local expertise. It will serve various sectors, including logistics, manufacturing, retail, and public services, offering managed services for multinational clients across markets.
This initiative coincides with Morocco’s preparation for the rollout of 5G technology in November, aiming to provide 25% 5G coverage by 2025 and 70% by 2030. The partnership also supports the national push for digital transformation, following investments such as Maroc Telecom’s joint ventures with Inwi to enhance fiber optics and tower infrastructure.
