Huawei and Visit Qatar have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaborate on strengthening Qatar’s position as a leading global tourism hub. The MOU, signed at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2025 in Dubai, marks a significant milestone in their shared vision of promoting sustainable tourism growth by leveraging Huawei’s advanced technology and marketing platforms to enhance Qatar’s tourism offerings and attract high-value travelers.
Comprehensive Collaboration for Global Tourism Growth
Through this strategic partnership, Huawei and Visit Qatar are committed to co-developing a comprehensive marketing strategy to elevate Qatar’s tourism ecosystem and contribute to the country’s economic development. This collaboration builds on the launch of the Visit Qatar_HarmonyOS Atomic Service, which simplifies the travel experience for Chinese visitors using Huawei devices. The service, integrated with Huawei’s operating system, offers easy access to personalized travel tools, helping visitors plan their trips and experience Qatar’s rich culture effortlessly.
The partnership focuses on three key areas: reaching high-value global travelers by tapping into Huawei’s broad network across Europe, China, and the GCC to increase awareness and bookings to Qatar; leveraging data from Huawei’s Digital Marketing Platform (DMP) to refine Qatar’s long-term tourism strategy; and developing a 360-degree strategy using smart mobility solutions like the Harmony Atomic card, Huawei Wallet, Petal Maps, and AI-Assistant to offer seamless travel experiences.

Huawei will enhance visitors’ experiences by providing innovative technologies such as easy access to travel services, roaming data, ride-hailing payment options, and AI-driven travel suggestions. Additionally, Huawei’s cameras and sharing features will allow tourists to capture and share their experiences, promoting Qatar as a premier destination for both leisure and business travel.

The partnership will continue to explore new growth opportunities by deploying initiatives that utilize first-party data insights, optimize supply chains, and create demand through integrated, cross-channel marketing campaigns.
