Africa-headquartered Cassava Technologies has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the South African Artificial Intelligence Association (SAAIA) to deliver AI solutions and GPU-as-a-Service (GPUaaS) across the African continent.
Under the agreement, SAAIA’s network of over 3,000 AI practitioners—including entrepreneurs, researchers, and business professionals—will gain access to Cassava’s data centre GPUs to develop and deploy localized AI initiatives. Both organisations will collaborate on supporting the growth of Africa’s AI ecosystem.
SAAIA, South Africa’s leading AI ecosystem builder, unites AI stakeholders across commercial, government, academic, startup, and NGO sectors. It also hosts AI Expo Africa, the continent’s largest AI event, and promotes trade and investment in Africa’s growing smart technology sector.
Cassava emphasizes that this partnership underscores its commitment to providing world-class digital solutions and advancing responsible AI adoption, innovation, and growth throughout Africa.
The MoU follows Cassava’s recent announcement to establish Africa’s first AI factory, aimed at empowering local businesses, governments, and researchers with advanced AI computing resources.
