Algeria has taken a significant step toward modernizing its public services by signing a framework agreement between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Algérie Poste. This partnership aims to establish a technology-driven postal service dedicated to the secure handling and distribution of legalised documents.
The signing ceremony, held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Algiers, was co-chaired by Minister of Post and Telecommunications Sid Ali Zerrouki and Secretary of State Sofiane Chaib, responsible for the National Community Abroad.
Under the agreement, Algerian citizens will soon be able to submit documents requiring legalisation directly at post offices. The service will enable users to digitally track their documents through every stage—submission, processing by civil status authorities, and final delivery—enhancing transparency and convenience.
Minister Zerrouki emphasized that this initiative aligns with Algeria’s broader national digital transformation strategy. It also supports ongoing reforms in the postal sector, including the advancement of e-payment and e-commerce services.
Built on a secure logistics framework and strict administrative standards, the new service aims to provide safe, reliable, and efficient document management, reinforcing Algeria’s commitment to modern and citizen-centric public services.
