Hayo Expands African Presence with New Offices in Botswana, Liberia, and Malawi

Global digital service provider Hayo has extended its footprint in Africa by opening new offices in Gaborone (Botswana), Monrovia (Liberia), and Lilongwe (Malawi). This strategic expansion supports Hayo’s ongoing investment in emerging markets to bolster local digital economies through telecom services, digital solutions, and regional expertise.

Hayo’s expanded presence aims to meet increasing demand from hyperscalers, governments, regulators, enterprises, and mobile operators across Africa. The new offices will enable faster delivery of local services, accelerate digital adoption, and enhance capabilities for global businesses seeking to scale within some of Africa’s most dynamic markets.

The company notes that Africa’s digital economy contribution to GDP has risen from 1.1% in 2012 to 4.5% in 2020 and is forecast to reach 5.2% by 2025 and 8.5% by 2050. Hayo’s expansion seeks to support this growth, create local jobs, and strengthen partnerships with national stakeholders.

Hayo’s regional solutions portfolio includes GovTech, IoT, voice, messaging, cloud communications, and more. Serving over 100 leading mobile operators with wide coverage across Africa and the Middle East, Hayo also connects clients globally through a network of over 500 partners.

This move follows Hayo’s recent launch of the National Mobile Registry (NMR) platform, which aids governments in emerging markets to regulate their mobile ecosystems by improving compliance, citizen protection, and sustainable revenue through controlled mobile device entry.

The Botswana, Liberia, and Malawi expansion is Hayo’s second major regional growth announcement within a year, following new offices opened in Cameroon, Niger, and Sri Lanka in October 2024.
