“Mufeed” App Launches Free Online Housing Service for Arbaeen Pilgrims

The “Mufeed” mobile application has introduced a free online housing reservation service for pilgrims attending the 1447 AH (2025) Arbaeen pilgrimage, starting July 26, 2025. The initiative aims to simplify accommodation arrangements for millions traveling to the holy city of Karbala.

Partnering with over 1,500 hosts—including private homeowners and Husseiniyas across Iraq and Iran—the platform expects to serve more than 75,000 pilgrims daily. It offers secure, comfortable free lodging as part of a humanitarian effort to enhance the pilgrimage experience via an easy-to-use digital platform.

Pilgrims can book accommodations through a dedicated link featuring diverse hosting options, real-time multilingual communication, and 24/7 technical support. Volunteers are also invited to register as hosts, promoting generosity and spiritual hospitality.

Participants from over 25 countries have already joined the platform, with organizers anticipating a rise in local hosts in Iraq during the pilgrimage season, reflecting the global spirit of devotion surrounding Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) and Arbaeen.
