Ufone and Jazz Lead Pakistan’s Mobile Coverage in PTA’s Q2 2025 QoS Survey

The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) released its Q2 2025 Quality of Service (QoS) Survey, ranking mobile networks on coverage across 19 cities in Punjab, Sindh, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Ufone and Jazz topped the list for signal reliability, achieving near-universal compliance with PTA’s 4G and 3G signal strength standards.

The independent survey tested approximately 43,000 voice calls and SMS, plus over 340,000 broadband samples, using auto-detect mode devices that switch between 2G, 3G, and 4G. Ufone led with compliance in 33 cities (18 4G + 15 3G) with one non-compliant city, while Jazz matched first place with compliance in 18 cities (4G only) and one non-compliant city. Zong closely followed with 31 compliant cities, and Telenor ranked last with 22 compliant cities and 13 non-compliant.

Surveyors covered 2,570 kilometers over 70 days, focusing on densely populated urban and semi-urban areas using standardized drive-test methods. The results highlight Ufone and Jazz as the most dependable providers for mobile coverage in Pakistan.
