Barwa Developments has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Telecom Egypt (WE) to deliver advanced communication infrastructure and smart technology solutions across all its developments. The agreement was formalized by Ahmed Rageh, Chairman of Barwa Developments, and Ahmed Alsakoot, Senior Director Enterprise at Telecom Egypt.
Rageh emphasized that the partnership reflects Barwa’s strategy of creating modern, fully integrated projects powered by international-standard digital infrastructure. “Our collaboration with Telecom Egypt (WE) enhances smart infrastructure in our developments, enabling clients to enjoy seamless, high-speed, and innovative solutions aligned with global smart city benchmarks,” he said.
Ahmed Alsakoot noted that the initiative underscores Telecom Egypt’s role in equipping real estate projects with advanced communication services that drive Egypt’s digital transformation agenda. “We are committed to delivering a high-quality, reliable, and seamless communication experience that strengthens Egypt’s position in digital infrastructure,” he added.
Barwa’s Chief Commercial Officer, Amr Attia, explained that the partnership boosts operational efficiency, increases investment value, and enhances client returns by embedding smart technologies into residential and commercial projects. Barwa currently owns and manages four mixed-use commercial malls in Shorouk City—Hub5 Mall, Barwa Mall, Central Mall, and Center Point—alongside numerous residential projects.
Adham Korein, Director of Gated Communities and Key Accounts at Telecom Egypt, highlighted that the collaboration demonstrates the real estate sector’s confidence in Telecom Egypt’s ability to provide next-generation connectivity solutions.
