Pakistan and Kuwait Host First Joint Tech Conference to Boost Digital Collaboration

Kuwait City – September 30, 2025 – The Embassy of Pakistan in Kuwait, in collaboration with the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), hosted the First Pakistan–Kuwait Tech Conference 2025 on Monday, marking a new milestone in bilateral relations between the two nations.

Speaking at the event, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Kuwait Dr. Zafar Iqbal highlighted the deep-rooted brotherly ties between Pakistan and Kuwait, noting that this conference adds a new dimension of cooperation in technology, innovation, and digital services. He praised recent visa facilitation steps, describing them as an opportunity to strengthen exchanges, partnerships, and investment. “Tonight’s gathering is about more than business — it is about shaping a shared digital future,” he said, expressing hope that the event would drive prosperity and long-term collaboration.

Abu Bakar, CEO of PSEB, emphasized Pakistan’s growing role as a global technology destination, urging Kuwaiti businesses to partner with Pakistan’s thriving IT sector. He underscored the country’s strengths, including a population of 250 million, an annual pool of 75,000 IT graduates, 20,000 registered IT companies, the world’s third-largest freelancing workforce, and the third-largest English-speaking population. “These numbers speak for themselves — Pakistan is becoming the preferred tech destination of the world,” he stated.

The conference brought together tech experts, innovators, and entrepreneurs from both countries, creating a platform to showcase Pakistan’s digital capabilities and encourage Kuwait to tap into its expanding IT ecosystem. Organizers described the event as the beginning of a long-term collaboration that will foster innovation, investment, and mutual growth in the digital economy.
