TikTok, in collaboration with the Government of Bangladesh, has launched a dedicated STEM Feed—an in-app stream designed to surface credible, engaging science, technology, engineering, and mathematics content. Unveiled at an event in Dhaka attended by senior officials, educators, creators, and TikTok representatives, the initiative advances the platform’s investment in educational content and nationwide digital inclusion.
The STEM Feed curates trustworthy videos to help close learning gaps between urban and rural communities, many of which face barriers to traditional educational resources. Complementing the feed, TikTok introduced #STEMTok, encouraging Bangla and multilingual contributions from local creators, publishers, and education partners.
Mostofa Sarwar Farooki, adviser to the Ministry of Cultural Affairs and special guest at the launch, said the initiative can inspire innovation among youth: pairing safe, credible STEM learning with students’ natural creativity can nurture a culture of problem-solving and broaden daily access to quality education.
Ferdous Mottakin, TikTok’s Head of Public Policy and Government Relations for South Asia, called the launch a meaningful step for digital learning, noting that TikTok will work with parents, teachers, and policymakers to align with national goals for digital inclusion and youth empowerment.
TikTok emphasized safety-by-design features—Family Pairing, Time-Away Scheduling, Teen Network Visibility, and Proactive Reporting Alerts—alongside its global Community Guidelines to ensure that only credible, age-appropriate educational content is promoted. The company underscored that sustained collaboration among government, industry, and creators is essential to expand access to quality learning and inspire Bangladesh’s next generation of innovators.
