Riyadh, October 7, 2025 — The LEARN 2025 conference opened in Riyadh’s Mohammed bin Salman Nonprofit City, spotlighting how smart learning and digital innovation are driving Saudi Arabia’s transformation toward a knowledge-based economy. Organized in partnership with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the three-day event (Oct. 7–9) gathered global education and technology experts to discuss the future of digital skills, capacity building, and human capital development.
Shaping the Future of Education Under Vision 2030
The conference serves as a key platform supporting Saudi Vision 2030’s digital transformation goals, emphasizing technology’s role in reimagining education. Solveig Nicklos, Senior Adviser and Chief Transformation Officer at Zayed University, highlighted the pivotal shift:
“Nothing is going to impact teaching, learning, and student development the way technology is now. Vision 2030 is setting the platform for the mindset shift needed to prepare a creative and agile generation.”
Nicklos also underscored the importance of empowering women in digital careers, noting that women currently use technology 20% less than men due to social and accessibility barriers. She urged inclusive policies to ensure equal participation in AI-driven education and technology adoption.
Innovation Spotlight: Masroof App and Student Well-Being
Tatweer Educational Technologies, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, presented the Masroof app — a digital payment and nutrition monitoring solution for schools. The app enables parents to set spending limits, track students’ nutrition, and manage cashless purchases through a unified platform.
Abdulaziz Al-Suayri, Tatweer’s Chief Product Officer, emphasized the link between nutrition and learning performance:
“Proper nutrition directly impacts student behavior and academic achievement. Through Masroof, we’re helping schools, parents, and suppliers work together for healthier, smarter learning environments.”
Since its launch, Masroof has already reached 250,000 students, 220,000 parents, and 1,350 schools, reflecting strong nationwide adoption.
Empowering the EdTech Ecosystem
The conference featured interactive workshops and exhibitions showcasing emerging technologies, AI-driven learning tools, and collaborative innovations from local and international education firms. Mays Al-Salah, Product Manager at Experts Academy and Knowledge Pathway, noted that LEARN 2025 is an invaluable opportunity for networking, partnerships, and industry dialogue within the EdTech sector.
Accelerating Saudi Arabia’s Knowledge Economy
LEARN 2025 reinforces the Kingdom’s ambition to build a digitally skilled workforce, foster AI literacy, and expand lifelong learning opportunities. By bridging collaboration between government, private, and education sectors, the conference underscores Saudi Arabia’s strategic vision to cultivate inclusive, sustainable, and innovation-driven human capital for the digital era.
