Dubai, UAE / Aqaba, Jordan — UAE-based digital and ICT provider du has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Aqaba Digital Hub (ADH), Jordan’s carrier-neutral Tier III-certified data centre, to establish a strategic regional presence within ADH’s open-access digital ecosystem.
The partnership will create a vital digital bridge connecting the Gulf, Levant, Asia, and Europe through robust, low-latency corridors — advancing regional interconnectivity and ensuring greater network resilience.
Under the agreement, ADH will act as the anchor point on the western front via its Cable Landing Station in Aqaba, while du will extend the eastern gateway through its two submarine cable landing stations connecting to Asia. Together, the partners aim to deliver diversified, high-capacity connectivity routes beyond traditional corridors, offering greater reliability and reduced latency for carriers, enterprises, and institutions.
Eyad Abu Khorma, Founder and CEO of Aqaba Digital Hub, said:
“We are pleased to sign this MoU with du. This understanding strengthens our vision of positioning Jordan at the heart of tomorrow’s digital routes. Together, we are building resilient pathways that will connect continents and power the next phase of regional digital growth.”
Saleem AlBlooshi, Chief Technology Officer at du, added:
“Our partnership with Aqaba Digital Hub marks a significant milestone in our mission to build the digital infrastructure that powers the region’s future. By integrating our international backbone with ADH’s neutral infrastructure, we’re enabling innovative, resilient, and borderless digital connectivity.”
The collaboration reinforces du’s broader strategy to expand its international network, enhance regional data capacity, and support the Middle East’s transition toward next-generation digital corridors. It also underscores growing cross-border cooperation between leading telecom and infrastructure providers in advancing the region’s digital transformation.
