Zain Showcases AI-Powered Digital Transformation Solutions at Kuwait’s 12th e-Government Forum

KUWAIT, October 20, 2025 — Zain Kuwait reaffirmed its leadership in digital innovation by sponsoring and participating in the 12th e-Government Forum (EGOV 12), held under the theme “AI-powered Information Security Services.” The event was organized by the Kuwait Federation of Engineering Offices and Consultant Houses in cooperation with CITRA and the Central Agency for Information Technology (CAIT), under the patronage of H.E. Omar Al-Omar, Minister of State for Communications Affairs.

Zain’s participation aligns with its ongoing strategy to enable Kuwait’s digital transformation journey and strengthen the role of the private sector in advancing national development objectives, particularly in technology, cybersecurity, and AI innovation.

During the opening ceremony, Dr. Khaled Al-Zamel, Chairman of CITRA, and Bader Al-Salman, Chairman of the Federation, joined senior government and business leaders, including Waleed Al-Khashti, Zain Kuwait’s Chief Corporate Affairs and Relations Officer, who delivered Zain’s opening remarks.

Al-Khashti emphasized that AI is a transformative tool rather than an end goal, stating:

“Artificial intelligence enhances our ability to detect threats faster, respond with greater agility, and build sustainable digital immunity for both government institutions and the private sector. It is a strategic pillar for digital enablement and sustainable development.”

He also highlighted the growing importance of responsible AI adoption, noting that trust, security, and data protection must form the foundation of every digital service. Al-Khashti outlined four strategic priorities shaping Kuwait’s next phase of digital evolution:

  1. Building trust, security, and privacy into every service.
  2. Designing human-centric, seamless digital experiences.
  3. Fostering public-private partnerships to scale innovation.
  4. Developing national digital talent to lead future transformation.

Al-Khashti further commended Kuwait’s partnerships with global technology leaders such as Google and Microsoft, underscoring Zain’s role in supporting these initiatives through its advanced digital infrastructure.

On the sidelines of the event, Zain showcased a portfolio of AI-driven and cloud-based business solutions, including AI-enabled drones, cloud computing platforms, and cybersecurity technologies, reinforcing its position as a trusted enabler of Kuwait’s digital economy.
